Posted August 28, 2012. I am working on building an editor for GTASA.set as I have issues with the in game config while playing SAMP. This is to be used before start the game and allow for a felxable config. So far I have discovered the majority of the settings and display them in a human readable fashion. I've been searching Google but it only gives answers for GTA4 and since I've bought the GTA Pack on Steam, I'd like to play the older games but in a better resolution than 800x600. Is there any way to do this? Maybe a program that forces them to this resolution or perhaps an ini change?

When changing resolution on PC from 800x600 to 1024x768, or any other resolution, the game crashes. There is a quick fix in order to solve this problem.

- Firstly, you need to locate the 'GTA San Andreas User Files' folder. The folder should be located in My Documents.
- Then you will need to open it and delete file called: gta_sa.se
- This will reset all of your GTA San Andreas settings (but it will keep any saved games)
- You should now be able to reopen the game
